The color that I am

I was once full of colour

I had a rainbow through my heart

My days were never rough

Right from the start

One day something changed

Some colours began to grey

Some colours began to spill

Even to this day

There's hardly any left

"What now" you may ask

I dip my fingers in it

And make myself a mask

A mask of blue and green

Of yellow, red, and pink

My colour's on the outside

And not where you may think

I act like I'm all happy

Full of beams of light

I do a lot of lying

I say that I'm alright

My colours are outside

Not where they should be

Painting my fake smiles

Hiding real me
