Shy. Insecure, Embarrased

Unconfident

She glares at the two piece shimmery white bikini,

hanging up on the wall

It called out to her

It was beautiful.

But then she remembered,

she had a gut,

and she was nowhere near a size 2,

and white was an unforgiving color.

Instead, she got what was familiar to her,

a frumpy,

black,

slimming,

one piece to conceal, to hide

But why?

Why must she cover up?

Why must she cover her up the beautiful body she was born with.

It''s become a trend,

to cover up your imperfections, to be embarrased of them.

But why should we be embarrased of who we are?

It's what makes us different, it's what makes you you

Let's break down the social barriers, let's break down the walls between the words

FAT and SKINNY

Why not just HUMAN.
