Conveyance

Location

Cookie cutter classrooms with egg shell walls
Monotone voices echo in the halls
Chalkboards are gone, replaced by projectors
Shunned like the math club’s pocket protectors

So much “advancing” “progressing” and “new”
Everything changing, all except you
Face down in a book, voicing simple rote
No questions, no answers, just taking notes

Experience taught me greater lessons
How to live, learn, eternal progression
Your books teaching information that’s canned
Experience teaches to understand

How to mimic the greatest of teachers
Who has no form, resembles no creature?
Where being heard is your career’s mission
You’re encouraged, take a moment, listen.
