The courage to accept

The mirror speaks,

You see a weak young girl,

And the mirror sees a conqueror,

With beautiful vines climbing up your delicate temple

marking peace and health.

You see insecurities,

The mirror oversees past those haunting thoughts...

Yes, "the mirror does not lie",

But Dearest sunflower,

You are too tough on yourself.

You have outshined those red roses in your purest creative forms.

Remember, the mirror is only there to remind you of how beautiful you are growing each and every day.

So don't ignore the mirror because it speaks purely past your haunting mind.
