Creation

A country fertile and filled with hue,

Mother Africa I bring to you

A tale of the Akan.

Deep within our mother Earth there once was a sacred birth,

Seven men, five women, a Leopard and dog

Crawled into a new world filled with fog.

Adu the first of man understood the world,

And its wonder and was one of a few

To stare without blunder.

With the hands of magic, he gave them power

How tragic it would be, him killed by a simple old tree.

7 men, five women a leopard and a dog crawled back,

With grins on their chins the southern wind blew grim.
