Cross My Heart

The say you need food,

They say you need water,

But is that really all you need?

Without those things, living is harder.

Starting violin at age 9

it was just practice all the time

at least for me it was an outlet

for my emotions and that's about it.

my heart would sing from all my strings

before I would start I would cross my heart

because thats where the music came from

the music's root was my hearts beating drum

Without my violin I would be soulless

cold and empty, life would be hopeless

but now I stand here deep in my art

violin keeps me living, I cross my heart
