Crossing the Finish Line

Running the day away

Clearing my mind

Nothing but me, nature, and the blue skies

The hills attempt to trouble me

And most times they succeed

However I keep running because it makes me happy

Cross the finish line

And hope to beat my best time

I can hardly breath

Or feel my legs

So I crash to the ground

And hang me head

Close my eyes because I feel like death

But when the pain is over

I am proud of my success

And I feel my best

Proud of the run I completed

I stand up not feeling defeated

Since the run is over I am in a better mood

And I can't wait for my next run

I hope it will be soon
