A Cuban Cry

Sat, 02/07/2015 - 18:16 -- Cierre

Soon but surely my people

We will become equal!

This is not the time to say fair well

 But to join hand and hand in a moment of despair

And show our alliance with the Americans

For the Spanish do not know what they proclaim

Yes, again and again

We own our weaknesses;

Down falls, numbers in men, and firearms

Yet, we stand with our strengths;

Pride and unity

Being locked down for so long

Of lacking food and water

Loved ones and Friends countless slaughtered

No matter we will not be feared by the Spanish

There is no choice to give way our cry!

As we salute the Americans

Bombs come from cannons flow

Screams turn into shouts

Knifes and blades are arouse

Spain does not have enough clout

American Soldiers stump through the vines

To our native island giving their commands

We Cubans complete every demand
