To find a cure for Apathy

Would surely beget the life of me-

No concern for petty Greed

Or bother with Adultery.

A paralyzing lack of Thought and Care

Have imposed on us a hefty fare

And seated us in an electric chair

Of our own Selfish making.

Teach them all to Give a damn

That an ounce of Love is 28 grams

That a Friendly lion is as Gentle a lamb

As we could ever be,

plagued by simple Apathy.
