Dancer

A lovely flower hidden

In the inelegant ground

Slowly starts with ease

To grace us with her show

We see her bright green

Then we know

She wants to be

A graceful blossom

Swaying in the wind

She struggles and triumphs

Her young and pretty determination shows

Slowly her long labor unfolds

She earns her ranking as a flower

A bud won by her unwavering fervor

A pair so soft and beautiful, Pointe shoes

And now soon her lovely petals

Unfold into a darling bloom

A ballet dancer
