Dandelion

Never before had a boy tell me no
Or tasted a melon, knew indigo
Never before had I let love go
Escape from me, flowers in the snow

Trees grew, skies blue
Looking up is something new

Dandelion, hear me roar
Even though my throat is sore

From all the ash and words and dust
From all the memories of us

Red from tears, your eyes are blue
Mine are wet, how about you?

Making footprints in soft sand
Studying lines on my hand
Drinking peace from a can
Missing my sweet, dangerous man
