Dangerously Empowered

Tears boil on my cheeks like copper kettles,

Water dancing and not missing a beat,

Yesterday you helped my water settle,

But now you can not save me from the heat.

You were my shelter from the storm inside,

I’d tear myself apart in a desert,

If not for your oasis stretching wide,

You protect with limits and lead to hurt.

My love is eternal but not for you,

Obviously, only my heart caught fire,

You just pretended that yours could blaze too,

Now my torch had flickered to something dire.

I am passionate so vengeance rules me,

Even if I change, you won't live to see.
