The Dark Age

Forget me,
Hate me,
Steal my soul
Throw it away
Because today,
Nothing feels right
And I can no longer delight myself
With the thoughts of the world.
I hear nothing,
See nothing
But the damage of my words
And the darkness in my heart,
The emptiness that I deserve.

By the light of day,
I viciously tear to get away,
But it burns my eyes out, smoldered,
While I whither in Darkness’ chain.

Look ahead, be brave
And run away unscathed,
Luminescing like the stars.
Run and run fast,
Before my darkness takes you, too.

My regards.
