The Day that Struck Us All

Location

Here I am sitting now

Thinking of that long lost day

I remember years ago

The day that struck us all

I was sitting with my dad

In that lonely den

When on the TV came the news-of-

The day that struck us all

He told me go out of the room

This is not for you to see

But I did not listen on that day

The day that struck us all

At first it scared me

I was young and still not understanding

But I am glad I saw the news-on-

The day that struck us all

This has led to many things

Many not so good

We do not trust as we once did-before-

The day that struck us all

Do you remember years ago?

Where you were that fateful day?

I don’t think you could forget

The day that struck us all
