The Deadly Conversation

Loud Voice:

No one loves you, you're ugly, fat, stupid, worthless, and pathetic. You have no talent, you have no friends. You'll never be happy, no one will ever love you much less like you. Life isn't worth living. The pain in your heart will never go away. When you sleep your dreams are haunted sometimes you have pretty dreams, but then you wake up, realizing it was a dream. The pain of reality is too much to bear. Why should you keep going? No one will even notice you're gone.

SmallTrembling Voice:

Stop! Leave me alone. There's got to be someone who loves me, someone will notice.

Loud Voice:

Laughs. Foolish pathetic idiot! Why do you try lying to yourself? I can set you free, I can end your pain, come, go back to sleep, there you can live in a world where you feel happy. Take these pills they will help you sleep, or grab that rope, wra[p it around your neck, hang the other end on that rafter, tie it, then let the chair you're standing on fall. It will help you get to your happy sleep faster, and it will be endless.

Phone rings

Loud Voice: Don't worry about your phone, ignore it, they aren't important, everyone always ignores you anyway. No one cares about you.

Answering Machine picks up, a voice says:

Hey, it's me, where have you been? I miss you , we should hang out. I love you, call me back, I know things are hard now, but they will get better. God loves you, I love you. God believes in you, and so do I. Don't give up.

Small Trembling Voice Crying:

I am so confused, no one loves me, no one cares, I feel so alone, even in a room full of people. I am broken, this pain in my heart never ends, I push everyone away, I have to, it's for their own good and mine, everyone walks away eventually. I don't know how to love, I don't even love myself, I don't believe I am worth being loved. I want to be gone from this world, I don't want to feel this pain anymore. God why did you put me here? What did I do so bad to be punished all my life? I have experienced pain and sorrow since childhood. I have accepted happiness is not meant for me, I was put here to suffer, but why? For how long will you leave me here to suffer in agony? I am tired, I want it to end, just take me already, please, just take me. I don't want to live, I want to die.

New voice:

You don't have to suffer, you don't have to live like this, you can be free you can be happy....

Loud Voice Interrupts:

No you can't, you never have, and you never will be. Just end this already, grab that gun, pull the trigger, end it right now. You are alone, you always have been and you always will be. No one loves you. no one respects you. You give and try and it's never enough, and you fail everytime. You're so alone, sad, broken, beyond repair. Another breath would be a waste of time, another sunrise will only bring more pain, the torture of another beautiful sunny day, when you feel like a gloomy rainy day inside. Don't do it to yourself, giving up is okay. You deserve to end your pain, no more failure, no more disappointing everyone you love. They're all better off without you.

Small Voice: your're right, reaches for the pistol, points it at temple of head and pulls the trigger......SILENCE

Sad, dark, and tragic. No happy ending. Sadly this is the cold battles that millions fight everyday. It's called depression. It is a powerful, decietful force that imprisons it' victims and isolates them. It prevents them from feeling love from anyone, beliving in themselves, it sheilds all positive from reaching them and overwhelms them with everything negative. Depression is a monster voice that lies to it's victims. It's strength is fueled by hatred, anger, and the power you give it when you believe the lies it fills your head with. Don't give it any more power. Eveyone is worth being loved. It starts with loving yourself. It can be defeated with love, stop showing hate, stop being cruel to people for no reason. Stop tearing each other down, especially your own children, your parents, your families, people you love. We should build each other up, not break each other down. Depression can be  healed, not from medication, but from love, and the strength that comes from love. It starts within yourself, love yourself and find happiness in yourself, miserable people only make others miserable. Be happy, be positive, be a light in the dark.
