Deaf

the beautiful light in your dull brown eyes

exposes the relentless pain you give,

i say i will find courage but it is all lies,

these past years i wish i could relive,

the intriguing, soft tone in your silent voice

speaks poems to me that even you can’t hear,

it seems as if i am the one creating this noise,

but it shouts louder every time you come near.

i created this narrative, us the main act,

but this dream has been awoken by ignorance,

inside my mouth my thoughts are trapped

by no one but myself, myself so timorous,

in the end, i will lose you, a perfect being,

you never heard me, although i was screaming
