The Deafening Silence

Look in the mirror
What do you see
Is that a tear flowing down your cheek
Look at your chest
What do you feel
Your heart breaking from emotions unreal

You're lonely and it hurts
But you've known much much worse
You've grown used to the feeling of dying
Lying, and hiding. Flying and falling
You hide behind a facade of indifference
When really though, you're feeling insignificant
You're helping others get through aggression and even depression
Because you know, you've learned from experience

Living your life regretless
But deep inside you never meant for this
To happen, not in this lifetime
Somebody please throw out a lifeline
You're not even in your right mind
Why are you feeling so dark, sunshine
It's nighttime in your heart and mind.
Covering your eyes, leaving you blind
To the pain and suffering you cause
Spewing out lies and poisoning minds
Is that really how you're gonna live your life
All alone in a dark cold world.

Floating adrift in a sea of emotions
Tearing a rift, causing so much commotion
There's you and yourself
Your mind split in twain.
The silence is deafening
But why should you complain
When your teardrops blend so nicely
In the rain.
