Dear Future Me

Sun, 11/30/2014 - 12:42 -- NRose

I hope you made it big

I hope you have the best of life

But no matter how big or you've made it

Whether it be by others standards

Or only in your heart

No matter what you do

I know you'll remember

That I’m you

A young girl from Minnesota

From a very small town

With big dreams and aspirations

A heart craving adventure

That wanted to do it all

That wanted to make a change

To make it big

so much it hurt sometimes

That didn't like

limits

deadlines

endings

Or being told what to do

That usually did

whatever at the moment felt right

but wasn't impulsive

she thought ahead

of the big picture

she didn't open up to people

but didn't mind

She was her own person

That danced to the beat of her own drum

That would drop everything

To help someone that needed a friend

she was a leader

She wouldn't let things break her

She just kept moving along

Even though she never knew for sure where she was going

She just hoped it was in the right direction

I hope you’re successful

In every sense of the word

I hope I sent you in the right direction
