Dear Homework, I'm Breaking Up With You

Homework will you go away,

I’ll visit you another day.

I am not seen, I am not heard,

You consume my time, this is absurd!

I really do not love you much,

Not writing, reading and the such.

I really could live without you,

Inside my heart I know it’s true.

Yes with me you will always be,

But it's not you it's me.

Too cliché? I don't care,

Joyous feelings for you are oh so rare.

Homework, I have to take this route,

This isn't working, you have to get out.

I'm sorry to say it, but it's true,

Homework, I'm breaking up with you.

With Love,

The Student
