Dear mom and dad

You won’t ever actually hear this because I’m too scared of what you might say

Dear mom and dad

Yes. I care what you think of me

Dear mom and dad

I’m sorry. I know you wanted a perfect or at least a good daughter but all you got was me
Dear mom and dad

Why isn’t that enough

Dear mom and dad

Why can’t you see I’m trying

Dear mom and dad

Why can’t you see I’m dying

Dear mom and dad
I’m tired. Of all this bullshit pretending. On both ends.

Dear dad

I’m sick of it. I’m sick of lying to mom about where my bruises come from

Dear dad

I’ve hated the smell of alcohol since I was three and started associating it with pain

Dear dad

I drink now too

Dear dad

How could you

Dear mom

I’m not perfect

Dear mom

I cry every night

Dear mom
I cried while writing this

Dear mom

I’ve never cried in front of you

Dear mom and dad

I’m suicidal

Dear mom and dad

I’m depressed
Dear mom and dad
I suffer from anxiety
Dear mom and dad
You don’t know

Dear mom and dad
You don’t know because you don’t actually see me- you see a shell
Dear mom and dad
That shell is what you want me to be and why you can’t see me is a mystery

Dear mom and dad
Look a little left and maybe you’ll see me hiding in the corner

Dear dad
You fucking hypocrite

Dear dad

Don’t try to tickle me when sober and look at me weird when I cringe and back away

Dear dad

If you actually looked at me you’d see my scars
Dear dad

They’re both scars you gave me and scars I gave myself

Dear mom

You don’t see them either

Dear mom

Where are you when I need you
Dear mom

Where are you know

Dear mom

Happy Mother’s Day

Dear mom and dad

I’m lonely
Dear mom and dad

I don’t sleep at night
Dear mom and dad

I’m scared
Dear mom and dad

Did your older children use up all your paternal instincts?
Dear mom and dad

What’s unconditional love

Dear mom and dad

What happened to always supporting me

Dear mom and dad
Why don’t you care

Dear dad

I’m sorry you wanted another boy

Dear dad

I’m sorry I’m not a boy

Dear dad

I’m sorry I can’t be like a boy
Dear dad

I don’t like worms

Dear mom

Yeah my best friend is gay

Dear mom

Why are you scared of her

Dear mom

Are you afraid I’ll become gay myself?

Dear mom

Weird. Yesterday you were afraid I was sleeping with my boyfriend.

Dear mom and dad

I’m sleeping with my boyfriend

Dear mom and dad

Do you prefer the term fucking

Dear mom and dad

I call it making love

Dear mom and dad
It’s the only love I’ve ever had
Dear mom and dad

Do you know what love is

Dear mom and dad

I know you know what making love is because I hear it

Dear mom and dad

My room’s a room below yours

Dear mom and dad

Everyone always tells me what great people and parents you are. I just smile and nod

Dear mom and dad
I hope you’re having a great day.
I love you.

And the sad thing is- I do.

Touching poem, I hope one day you sit down and talk to them. Maybe even let them read this poem. You might find out some of the feelings that you have maybe what they went through when they were kids also. I didnt find out till I was older that the same way my father treated me was how his Mom treated him and vice-versa for my mom.You should diffenitely not take it out on you and become depressed because time moves and once you know it you wont remember any positive memories as a young person and your parents will deny everything you feel now if you dont say something.
