Dearest Friend

Dear friend, you desperate fool.

I bet you think no one sees

your weak attempts to be cool,

and how you fall to your knees.

No validation here.

I know it's hard, in this world.

You are tugged far right and left,

To and fro, you are unfurled,

no choice but to be bereft.

Loneliness is your great fear.

I think you forget of me,

and look to others faster.

Remember, dearest friend, we

are in this strife together.

I will always hold you near.
