December

Nostalgia always comes at the end of the year,

as a reminder of all the things you meant to do.

Each year,

I look outside the same window,

at the same streetlight, waiting,

hoping, for snowfall

Each year,

the chance of snowfall grows smaller,

as my hope does,

and each year, the streetlight grows brighter and stronger,

as life does
