I wake up everyday and I ask myself, "What is the definition of a man to this generation?"Everyone has their own opinion but I just wanted to give mine.To me a man is a king, but not one that craves power or money. He is a king that's strives to reach goals even if he has to do it alone.A man is not someone searching for that fast money or the lavish life, he is one that just wants to survive. These days everyone bases your status as a man on the clothes that you wear, the shoes you buy, or the cars that you drive.But those are all material things. They show you have the money to buy what you want but not the knowledge to but what you need.Those new Jordan 4's, yea they look good on your feet, but how do they make you a man?Yea your friends are complimenting you on how much shoe game you have and girls are flying at you left and right screaming that they're attracted to you "swag."Now I know that we're all young and do dumb things at one point in time, but sooner or later we have to grow up.Now I see a man as someone who handles his business no matter what it is.He takes responsibility for his actions and is the first the correct them.A man holds open doors when a woman is walking through, whether she sister, cousin, old lady or stranger that door gets held open. A man bows his head and lets outs tears even if his brothers are around...because he does not fear their judgement of him.A man embraces his emotions and has no need to act hard to impress those around him that choose to run from their internal scars. To sum up what a man is to me... he is greatness and he is a king striving to reach his dreams even if he gets knocked down on one knee and has to get back on his feet.A man will stand tall. He will provide for those he love even when it means he has to go without.Now ask yourself are you really a man, or are you just a newborn prince who hasn't learned to stand?
