Different and Alone

Do you know what it's like

To be in this world alone?

To be so different

That no one understands?

As I wish upon the stars

For the very first time

I stand there

Like time is mine

In a world

That's speeding by

Do you know what it's like

To be in this world alone?

To be so different

That no one understands?

So here I stand

In the wake of my dreams

Hoping and wishing

For a day

That they can come true

Hoping for a world

Where I can fit

Do you know what it's like

To be in this world alone?

To be so different

That no one understands?

Now I sit here all alone

In a world where I just don't fit

I sit here alone

Never knowing what to expect

In a world

I wish was fair

Don't you know what it's like

To be in this world alone?

To be so different

That no one understands?

So here I am now

With no one else to be with

It feels as though I'm lost

Even though I am found

I don't even know how to explain it

There are no words

To describe this feeling I'm feeling

Don't you know what it's like

To be in this world alone?

To be so different

That no one understands?

This is me, this is you

But it makes no difference

Because you never admit this is who you are

So here I am

Alone in a world against me

To wish on stars

To hope with my heart

Don't you know what it's like

To be in this world alone?

To be so different

That no one understands?

But it is useless

Because Hope and wishes just don't come true

I am just meant to be alone

In a world I though would be my home

So now here I am

I'm ready to take on the world

Because if I don't

I'll always be alone
