It seems to me like we don’t have time for each other.

Technology’s supposed to keep us more connected,

But somehow we’re becoming more distant.

Sending texts of meaningless conversation,

Posting statuses and pictures calling out for attention.

We spend more time talking to people on a screen,

Versus talking to them in person. 

I miss the sense of community.

How many more updates and upgrades until we realize that we're losing it?

We're losing our social skills to social network sites

And I just wish we could go back to when it was simpler.

Call them.

You want to see someone?

Visit them.

Want to plan a date?

Ask them out in person.

Technology is advancing, but we're backtracking.
