Distance has taken its toll on us

we're not the same as before

but we seem to make no fuss

its as if we've walked out seperate doors

with no record of the scores

but dont you miss our silly conversations

or intense observations?

we were best of friends

we had a relationship where we never had to pretend

but now we face hidden complications

complications that might lead to an end

a time like this was never dreamt about 

but now we're in a period of drought 

just waiting for the rain 

to take away this pain

its really a shame that we're not the same

but who can we blame?
