Do you remember?

Do you remember who you were, before the world told you who you should be?

Do you remember the child you used to be?

So innocent and carefree...

The child who answered with "astronaut" or "princess" when asked what they wanted to be.

Do you remember that child that used to stare at the stars,

Able to see truths no one else could see?

So full of wanderlust and intrigue...

The one who's imagination was far too wild for others to concieve?

Do you remember that child you killed,

While hiding behind a mask you labled as "growing up"?

Do you remember when clouds became just clouds

And were no longer puppies or monsters?

Do you remember when the world told you

That you can't be an astronaut,

There is no one living on the moon,

and being a princess wasn't practical?

Do you remember who you were before the world told you who you should be?
