Domestic Violence; facing lifes realities

Golden dove chosen to fly,

broke its wings and left to die.

Blamed the weather for the fatality,

left shamefully alone with a powdered reality.

Stronger than an Ox

More tactical than a fox

Weak little dove does not mourn

but rather has resworn

Purity and grace

but will not lose, yet another, face to face.

This poem is not specifically about me. I do feel this issue in the world needs to be solved. Organizations and companies need to help these women who are in need. This is about our world today and women feeling empowered. The dove is an animal that mourns when its love dies, but in a domestic violence situation the women cannot mourn and rather needs to learn to take care of herself.
