Don't Look

“Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.”

I am just a woman who hides behind things.

I know one thing is for certain,

I can never sprout wings.

I can't fly away from my problems,

So I made a new me.

I have fallen,

And getting rid of them is key.

My life revolves around my different persona's,

But I can't rely on them forever.

The real me is in a coma,

I don't even know her.

My persona is starting to dwindle,

and I have to take the reins.

If I had been more gentle,

I would only have one brain.
