Dr. Love and Mr. Fear

Dr. Love,

you have pushed me to stupidity.

I have gone great lengths for you,

lied...betrayed...

risked my life as I know it.

But you taught me patience and forgiveness,

you taught me how to care and put the soul of another before mine.

you taught me sacrifice,

to put another’s feelings above mine.

But you do not come without Mr. Fear,

Mr. Fear,

at first I thought you told me to give up,

to shy away because the unknown is just that,

unknown.

But you taught me caution and courage,

to protect and care for myself.

To Dr. Love and Mr. Fear

thank you.
