A Dream of Strength

Location

Heed my words, one and all!

I dreamed a dream of an ocean.

Violent ocean-jolts enveloped all in their path.

Water winds blew rigorously,

Thrashing locks of hair into my face, blinding me.

Salty air suffocated my lungs.

I longed to escape the inflicting tumblers.

Suddenly, the waves calmed;

Then only gentle undulations crept upon the shore.

Clear water cleansed my feet;

Salt healed my jagged wounds.

The ocean whispered to me:

"Not only do waters test you,

But they make you stronger."

I realized rough waves will not overcome me,

For I know that the tides change.

I will soon see that halcyon vista.
