Early Morning Masterpiece

The warm, bright sun rises up
over a small green meadow surrounded by old oaks.
It peaks over the tree line smiling,
as if it were saying good morning.
It's golden rays reflect off the dew speckled grass
making the earth sparkle.
A final breeze of the early morning crisp air,
flows through the oak trees, making them dance.
The leaves rustle in the wind,
struggling to hang onto their branch,
as if they were hanging onto summer.
Squirrels frantically dart and leap,
scurrying up bark, chasing one another
as they squeak and chitter cheerfully.
A pair of lively bluebirds, mingling with several spunky Carolina wrens, hop along the dew covered grass,
anxiously searching for a meal,
as they tweet and chirp a sweet song.
A hawk boldly takes off from a high branch,
catching a gust of wind,
as he soars in the cloudless sky effortlessly,
observing life's beautiful scenery
and nature's majestic animals as they wake up to begin their day.
