Education in America

Location

What dream is not crushed?

What child can blossom?

What has education left,

But a dull set of robotic minds?

Yes ma’am, no sir

A,B,C there’s only one solution.

We must hide our beliefs

As if they were venomous snakes.

Should we be so automatic?

Is there only one right answer?

For the students, we must think like our elders

Never allowed to stray far from the path.

Encaged birds, rattling on the doors of our oppressors.

Waiting for the sunlight to graze our wings.

But the dictators shut out the light, locking us in.

Our philosophies, and spirits being shattered like glass, against their systematic ways.
