Embracing the Dark

Location

Sitting here,

Surrounded by the dark.

Engulfing everything, but

My soul in anguish.

It comforts me,

It hugs me tightly.

Telling me that I

Am not alone.

Shadows in the corners

Of my eyes, become

Real in my mind.

As I let it in.

My skin begins to

Crawl up my back,

Slowly seeking the

Beating heart.

And it presses it,

Tightly and firmly.

Stopping my life,

And setting my soul

Free.
