Emily Dickinson had me --

Emily Dickinson had me —

Motivated to write —

A poem as a summary —

That helped me to grow up —

A work of art — unsettling me —

By a poet — I praise,

Superbly wrote — A Clock stopped,

Emily Dickinson —

Reading the poem many times  —

Still planted unresolved —

Incomplete — curious feelings —

Made me love her poem —

I, then, had to analyze it —

For sake of fulfillment —

Later I found out — I have read —

Her elaborate wit —

It’s not because I have talent —

To dissect her poem —

Please! I would be the last student —

To have such genetic —

But it would be the opposite —

To have passion to learn —

It only requires to sit —

And my will to discern —

ABCB rhyme — her clipped tone —

They’re chilling —

To the bone —

Forces one to realize — that Life —

Something not to be rife —

Sudden in life — A clock can stop —

A time where rain can’t drop —

The best people in Life are free—

Also the most worthy —

Emphasis on Anaphora —

Gives me Euphoria —

I love this puzzle-like Poem —

And its imperfect hymn —

This was the moment I grew up —

And realize that no time —

Was endless —

Hence I glowed up —

And stopped being helpless —

Reading through — the mystifying —

Surely makes us rethink —

Time is limited —

So, how will we spend it?
