Encore

I gaze up at you everyday

Wondering what goes through your mind.

Walking with spaghetti fingers latched together

Popping the question, “Are you even mine?”

I’m missing you even between our tight embraces.

Somewhere, somehow, something had gone astray…

The change of atmosphere here seems so obviously distinct

And the sorrow in my eyes,

No words could ever convey.

The changes within this realm seem so out of reach.

I’ve tried and I’ve lost once more.

Defeated, empty handed, and expressionless

Disappointed with this encore.
