Endless Night

Heavy breathing as I gasp for air

The silent night laid before me

I charge into the darkness

I can only hear my heartbeat in the otherwise silent night

Under the pale moonlight, I run

My heart races as I sprint across the night

The seemingly endless run is consumed by the darkness with only the moon as my guide

As my journey progresses

The fight to survive begins

My body slowly drained of its energy as I continue my march

When my mind wonders off

The pain and stress disapears

Only to return as my senses come back

I eventually stop and say my farewell to the night and the moon

Only to return to their embrace when night returns again
