Enough

Tasteless, white lies

Poison that blinds the mind

Just a little more

Just a little less

Never ending, demands

The starved belly of the unsatisfied beast.

The decay of confidence

No reason to continue

Steps that slowly crawl to a stop

But a light remains

Glimmers of hope amidst violent words and hate filled judgments

a tainted world, but not a conquering one

For in my heart there lays a secret

A place where the darkness cannot come

A place where I am whole, where I am myself

Where I am safe.

Where I am accepted.

Where I am loved.

Because in this place, I am enough.
