Equality for all (Not Really)

I'm scared to go into that store with my best friend.

I don't like when they follow me around the store

Pretending to look at something then casually glancing at me

I know I have a purse.

I promise I didn't steal anything.

I promise.

I promise that black man isn't aggressive as you think.

I promise.

We promise we won't hurt you so don't say we did.

I promise my hair does not always break a comb when I comb it.

I promise that I am educated and do not only talk in slang.

I promise I am the same as you under this skin tone I wear

So promise to treat me the same and I will too.
