The Eternal, Endless Abyss of Growth

What was the turning point

That made me grow?

Was it when I caught my first bug?

Or when I got my first job?

Was it when I fell in love for the first time?

Or when I had my first heart break soon after?

What about the time when I had my first sip of alcohol?

Or the time when I saw my parents cry.

Maybe it was when I saw my sister for the first time.

Or when I left my family for college?

Perhaps it was when I thought I might lose a loved one.

Or when I did lose a loved one.

Or when I felt shocked looking at the mirror

After being shown a baby photo of myself.

Or right now as I realize that

Life has not one, but thousands of turning points.

As time passes we collide with the expected and the unexpected.

We grow and glow every moment

As we fall into the eternal, endless abyss of growth.
