Everyday Woman

I am a woman.

I am told everyday

what I should

be

think

do

look like

and never once

have I been asked

my opinion

of those things.

I am a woman

and each day

I put on my

armor

and march off to

battle the world.

I am a woman.

I love my growing intellect,

my passable soprano,

my heart of compassion,

my donkey-bray of a laugh,

my big-cow eyes,

my just-because smile,

my distinctly feminine curves,

my average length and color hair,

my firm but falliable faith,

and my internal and external strength.

I am a woman.

What's your superpower?
