My decision to attend a University is for you

Staying up late reading and studying for hours on end is for you

Attending classes and lectures, going to meeting, and talking and debating with professors is for you

Pancking about finals, being awake all hours of the night working on papers, and trying to keep order on group projects is for you

Finally, after months of soul searching, picking history as my major is for you

Graduating as the first person from my family with an Associates, then with a Bachelors is for you

Getting credientialed and assigned a postion is for you

For every heart ache and loss, for every triumph and victory, for everything I do in my acedemic career is for you

For you, my future students of history, I will gladly go on this journey to better myself so that I can be the teacher that you deserve.

To be the educator that will give you the knowledge that will propel you to your own careers, to open your eyes to the world around you.
