Everywhere But In Me

Location

My happiness begins outside of me,

It starts in the people around me.

It begins in the start of your grin,

At the end of my dumb joke.

It’s in the sounds of a peaceful day,

As the breeze play the leaves of trees

At the time of the day that the sky is a puzzle piece

As I look through the branches.

My happiness is the simple things that are missed,

Like my daddy’s “see you off to school” kiss.

Or my mom putting her cold nose against mine,

To let me know I’m hers and she’s mine

My bliss is enveloped in the able arms of my love

It vibrates through his baritone;

Fills me with ecstasy.

Find me and my light-hearted ways floating along lyrics

On the ‘Pretty Wings’ of Maxwell

Or by the ‘Superpower’ of Beyonce and Frank Ocean

My happy synchronizes with each melody.

Its not hard to make me happy.
