we all lust for gold

why despite the evidence

because you didn't see it unfold?

we go back and forth

shades of grey 

trapped in black and white

searching for the light

could you be wrong?

who knows? 

We are all weak

it shows

It's tempation

we are all to blame

we probably couldn't change a thing

so why ignore the truth

we have better things to do

then argue over 

what can't be proved
