at the age of 5
her hair was in pigtails
and she loved coloring and singing
she believed in prince charming
and happily every afters
when she was 8
her hair was tightly tied back
she stopped believing in santa
and all the kids at school
started calling her wierd
at the age of 11
her hair fell to her shoulders
and she was alright,
she was a little lonely,
but life was okay,
she was hanging in there
when she was 13
her hair hung low with soft curls
but she started to feel worthless
and she started to distance herself
from everyone else
at 16
her hair hung straight down her back
her eyes were dark,
she barely slept
and her smile was rare
then came 18
her hair was in a messy bun
and her eyes were red from crying
and smiles became a distant memory
while death was a reoccurring desire
and in a span of 13 years her "happily ever after"
became a simple:
"the end."
