The Eye of the Storm

Location

Looks can definitely be deceiving,

What you see is not really what you get.

The truth hides like a skeleton in a closet

With the great desire to not be seen,

Not wanting to scare, not wanting to disappoint.

A smile full of joy shadows the truth.

Shadowing this emotional storm, creeping and building inside

A storm overwhelming.

Emotions which lead to a closed curtain.

Wanting to show my true colors,

Wanting to open the curtain, but terrified.

Will they accept me and my emotional burden?

Will they love the true me?

I’ll never know.

Not wanting to disappoint.

The skeletons in the closet will remain in hiding.

My curtain will forever remain closed.
