Many say that it is the choice of others

To depict who is worthy of becoming free

To be given a life that may help one’s being

To say yes toward returning those who are in need

To ignore the reality of one’s true greed

Many say that it is the choice of others yet,

Those choices are being rehearsed as a prophecy

To say that one is not allowed due to their demographics

To say that one is not granted the hope due to the insufficiency.

Tears that mark the face of oneself is not enough for a change

Scars on one’s body is not enough proof to show how troubled one is

Deaths of many is not something to worry about or show empathy

It is not until one nation is down in its knees in turmoil, when another comes to the rescue

Why should one be in despair until the supposedly “Nation” can intervene

What the “Nation” does not know, is that when it is time to intervene

One is enjoyed, one is feeling relieved from being rescued, yet

One is feeling sad and angered from the long wait that gave each one grief

How is this “Nation” supposed to be strong when a soul cannot see correctly?

Many say that it IS the choice of others but how can a choice decide the life of a being?
