Eyes of Students

Location

Talked down in subordinance

voices not heard or uplifted

The voice in the classroom is wise

but have they not heard us yet

the voice is laced with age

intelligence, refined with philosophy

you can not see our views

because yours are stoned in the past

we can learn from you, but we have our own mind

I speak up to show you a path

how could this generation understand

you are a mystery, a forgetten question

We confound you, as you do us

But knowledge can be found, in old

or in new creative dust

I speak from my points, leading you on

now you have a eye, for the way of the young

we need to speak out, on the controversy

Topics of the world, infecting our bodies

we feel infected by the news and stories

we need to understand and voice our opinion

We feel for the issues, we worry too

Still innocent and young, We young adults

want to be treated equal, in views

in every classroom.
