A Façade of Self-Love

Wed, 01/17/2018 - 01:16 -- Alesynn

I love me,

I am worthy,

I am beautiful,

You breathed in those words from 8,

And again at 10,

As if saying it enough,

Saying it hard enough,

Will eventually make you believe it,

But really you suppress them--

The Devil’s talk,

The gray, swollen clouds that passes by,

In a façade of self-love,

I love me,

I am worthy,

I am beautiful,

How many times—

How many times,

Will you repeat those words?

The façade of self-love

Until He shakes you,

Have you stumble and fall,

For you to realize,

You still have healing to do.
