Facebooking

Tue, 06/26/2018 - 13:30 -- ngopes

It is a moonless summer night,

I patiently wait for the buzz of likes,

For my new post earlier that night.

I wake up to a monotonous buzz of my phone,

but that isn’t for the likes.

I am about to lose myself to a dream,

another buzz, LOL!

that is again NOT for my post.

I turn and look at my watch, its late,

I run out of patience, I can’t sleep, maybe I sleep later.

But I can’t wait to see the likes.

Facebook takes up most of my day.

Be it the day or the night, I obsess about it.

I nearly twist my right ankle on the stairs,

while Facebooking, the other day.

I blog and Facebook, or whatever the verb is,

For Facebook likes are important numbers.

It seems like that I am happily married to that thing.

Thanks to genius Mark for giving us such a magical piece!
